Our story

When Ron Alcorn opened the doors to Parkway Auto Care in 1991, mechanics diagnosed problems by looking under the hood. Shortly after, vehicle manufacturers started adding computer modules to control and monitor brakes, airbags, heating and cooling and just about everything else.  Ron’s sons Spencer and Blake joined the family business and the state of the art service and repair facility has grown to 6 service bays with a highly trained team of ASE Certified Technicians and all the tools and advanced technology needed to service your vehicle.

In 2021, Ron sold Parkway Auto Care to current owner Nick Stoffel. Ron’s sons continue to work as Service Advisors at Parkway, and Nick retained the majority of the automotive technicians. Nick Stoffel also owns Lloyd’s Automotive on the corner of Grand Avenue and Chatsworth, a long time auto repair facility in the St. Paul area. Nick had managed Lloyd’s Automotive since 2005, prior to recently purchasing the business. He has been active in the automotive service industry since he was 15 years old. After graduating from Highland Park High School in 1995 Nick served in the U.S Marines. After completing his tour of duty with the marines Nick attended and graduated from Dunwoody Institute of Technology, and joined the staff at Lloyd’s Automotive.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AUTO CARE

Automotive repair facilities have been environmentally friendly for years. At Parkway Auto Care we recycle all of the vehicle oil, coolant, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluids, oil filters, batteries and tires. Whenever possible we use recycled paper for all business invoices, statements and financial records. Recycled auto parts are regularly available and we will recommend them to our customers as a cost saving measure as long as they meet quality and safety standards. We operate our facility to be as energy friendly as possible by keeping our heating, cooling, and electrical costs as low as possible. We even have 64 solar panels mounted on our roof to provide as much of our energy as possible.  By recycling regularly, and keeping our energy costs as low as possible, we are able to pass these money saving steps on top our customers. At Parkway Auto Care we try to be a friendly to the environment as we are to every customer!
